Individualized Tutoring
I love supporting students and families through individualized tutoring, whether it is additional intervention and instruction, support with homework and school work, or an area of interest and passion. While my tutoring focus is Dyslexia and language-based processing, I am able to support learners ages Pre-K through 8th grade in literacy, mathematics, and homework.

About Me
I began my teaching career in Elementary Education in 2006. I have taught in Kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th grades, as well as reading interventionist. I left the classroom in 2020 when my family moved to Erie, CO. Leaving the classroom was bittersweet, I missed the students and the learning, but I was also able to support my younger daughter's education better. Since leaving the classroom I have continued to sub in our local district, and pursue my Dyslexia certification as well as my National Board Certificate in Advocacy in Special Education. Tutoring was a natural next step for me as my passion is supporting students who need additional support. I love working with the students and their families.

Qualifications and Certificates
I have been working towards completing my Orton-Gillingham training through IMSE. I began pursuing my Dyslexia Certification when my daughter was diagnosed with Dyslexia in 2022. Our experience with Dyslexia has been a journey and my hope is to empower students and their families by providing strategies, individualized instruction, and the love of learning through 1-on-1 tutoring.
